A museum researcher dreams herself back to the Tang Dynasty and experiences firsthand the power struggles within the palace as none other than Wu Zetian.
Dagang (Guo Degang) who manages the warehouse at Tianhai Museum is an honest, plain-looking man with a secret crush on the beautiful museum researcher Li Binghe (Wang Like). Even though he has her twin brother Li Yufan (Zheng Kai) for his wing man, Dagang's grand plan to confess his feelings is ruined by the rich and handsome antique dealer Han Zhengping (Zhang Shi). What's worse, Han Zhengping is actually a thief intend on stealing the precious Tang Dynasty relics! Yufan and Binghe are knocked unconscious following a car accident in the fight over the relics.
